Cheshire Life Paris Photoshoot - UPDATE

Tuesday, 2 September 2008 09:18 by uniqueweddings

In July, we took Nina and Adrian, winners of Cheshire Life Wedding of the Year, to Paris for their engagement shoot.  We met them at the Louvre and over the weekend took great images of them enjoying their first visit to Paris.

We walked around Notre Dame, the Sorbonne, Eiffel Tower, over the River Seine and around the various districts of Paris.

We finished in the beautiful Jardins du Luxembourg, dancing through the tree-lined avenues and strolling around the boating lake.  It was a memorable weekend for all of us.

Nina and Adrian are a lovely couple and we look forward to photographing their wedding in November.

Their story, together with pictures from the fantastic shoot in Paris are being published in the September 2008 edition of Cheshire Life.

Launch of Fantasy Weddings

Friday, 15 August 2008 20:13 by uniqueweddings

Last night saw Caroline photographing the launch of Fantasy Weddings in Cheshire.  A new bespoke wedding planning service, UniqueWeddings.co.uk is the recommended wedding photographer for discerning couples.

September sees the opening of their beautiful showroom.  Last night was the opening evening at the Belle Epoque restaurant, complete with living statues, jazz singer, saxophonist, 60 guests, pink champagne and of course, the lovely owner - Katherine!

The guests (and Caroline) had a wonderful evening and we're sure the business will go from strength to strength.  We very much look forward to working together.

Thornton Manor

Sunday, 10 August 2008 19:52 by uniqueweddings

This venue really is God's gift for interior photography! Built by Lord Lever in the early 1900s, it is the most amazing architecture and we love being here.

Today was no exception - the weather was lovely and all the guests were outside on the terrace and in the gardens enjoying their drinks. It really is a fabulous venue and my couple chose it simply because of the space inside and out.

For us, there were so many opportunities to take fantastic indoor photographs, that we can't wait to go back on a wet weather day!!

Same venue.....

Sunday, 3 August 2008 20:10 by uniqueweddings

Earlier this year, we discovered that we'd booked two weddings, both at the same venue on the same day!  The Last Drop Village often has up to four weddings a day across the hotel, and it was utterly amazing that both Glenn and I were there at the same time.

This has never happened to us before!  Both weddings were absolutely fantastic.  Glenn and I both helped each other during the breaks from our respective weddings and it was a lovely opportunity for us both to see each bride and their beautiful dresses on the day (not to forget the grooms of course!!).

Pure Weddings & Cheshire Life Wedding of the Year

Sunday, 15 June 2008 20:21 by uniqueweddings

The judging recently took place of this competition.  Glenn had been asked to be on the judging panel so it was his role to help interview the finalists and find out why they wanted to win.  And boy, did they want to win!

I'm not surprised really as the fabulous prizes on offer included a full wedding reception at Rookery Hall, wedding rings, photography from UniqueWeddings.co.uk, venue dressing from Eventures and cars from Bentley.  Caroline was also there, taking the finalists photographs.

It was a really tough job, but the winners were Nina and Adrian, a couple from Crewe.  Their story will be in the September edition of Cheshire Life.  We look forward to photographing their wedding for them.

North West Photography Awards

Tuesday, 15 April 2008 19:56 by uniqueweddings

We had a wonderful evening at the MPA/BIPP North West Photography Awards Dinner.  Glenn won Gold and Bronze Medals in the Classical Wedding category, Bronze Medal in the Creative Wedding category, Silver Medal in the Architectural category, together with 14 merits (the merits were shared with Caroline!).

Missing out on Wedding Photographer of the Year by 1 point, but hey, what consistency.  These awards add to the 250 national and regional awards won since 2004 and we're so proud of them.

However, the biggest thanks goes to all our clients, without whom we wouldn't have such fantastic competition entries.

New Year's Eve

Monday, 31 December 2007 20:05 by uniqueweddings

Wow.  New Year's Eve was a busy one this year with two weddings.  Glenn shot a great wedding in the Railway Museum in York, whilst Caroline was at Wood Hall in Wetherby.

It was a perfect day, crisp, clear and sunny.  It seems really strange that we were so near to each other in Yorkshire and yet so far away!

Glenn Interviewed on Breakfast TV

Friday, 6 July 2007 17:23 by uniqueweddings

Today Glenn appeared on breakfast TV as part of a wedding planning series. As well as providing tips for viewers on choosing a photographer, Glenn was also asked to demonstrate how to pose for photographs. At the end of the day, everybody wants to look great in their photographs.

Members of the crew and Nik and Eva Speakman (life coaches to the stars) volunteered to be in front of Glenn's camera live on TV. The image shown was arranged and captured in 30 seconds. It clearly shows the kind of happy, fun group shots which are a trademark of Glenn & Caroline's award winning photography. They don't do stuffy, boring group shots!!
